Katie’s senior session at Harkness Memorial State Park was the perfect mix of timeless, coastal, and effortless. Located along the Connecticut shoreline in Waterford, Harkness is one of my favorite locations for senior photos because there is so much variety within one beautiful property.
We started Katie’s senior portraits around the historic Eolia Mansion, taking advantage of the elegant architecture, stone details, and surrounding gardens. From the manicured pathways and colorful flowers to the open lawns and coastal scenery, every part of Harkness creates a completely different backdrop without having to leave the park.
For senior sessions, I always want the final gallery to feel elevated while still feeling completely like you. Katie’s session was relaxed and natural, giving us a mix of classic senior portraits, movement, candid moments, and more editorial images throughout the evening.
One of my favorite things about being a Connecticut senior photographer is getting to incorporate the beauty of the New England coastline into my sessions.
