Welcome Guide

MEET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER,
Daniella

Hi!!!!!
First off, WELCOME and CONGRATULATIONS!!!
My goal here is to give you a little look into my perspective as a photographer and how I approach a wedding day! As you scroll through, you'll probably start to notice a few things about me. I'm a BIG detail girl, I love storytelling, I'm always looking for those candid, in-between moments, and I also love a good guided pose!
I'm going to walk you through a wedding day from my perspective, using a collection of different weddings I've photographed! I tried my best to sum everything up because LORD knows I could have you sitting here for hours scrolling through photos LOL.
I genuinely pour my heart and soul into what I do, and I can truly say I LOVE my job. I care so much about the couples I work with, the little details they spend months planning, and making sure they have photos they'll be excited to look back on foreverrrr.
Something I think is SO important to remember is that your wedding photographer is with you for pretty much your ENTIRE wedding day. Like, seriously, I'm probably going to spend more time with you than your future spouse does that morning LOL. So making sure you actually vibe with your photographer is a BIG deal!
And whether you end up choosing me to photograph your wedding or not, please let me leave you with one piece of advice...
ENJOY YOUR FREAKING WEDDING DAY!!!
Seriously. Remember why you're there. You're marrying your person, surrounded by the people you love most. Don't let a timeline, a crooked napkin, or something not going exactly as planned take away from that. Soak it ALL in. Have fun. Be present. It's YOUR day!!!
Okay, now let's get into it!!

What Your Wedding Day Will Look Like:

Establishing Shots
I love when my wedding galleries tell a story, and every story needs a setting. You chose your venue for a reason, and I think it's so important to capture what made you fall in love with it in the first place. When I arrive on your wedding day, one of the first things I do is photograph the venue itself, from the architecture and surrounding scenery to the flowers blooming that time of year. All of these little details help capture the season, the atmosphere, and what everything looked and felt like on your wedding day. It's my way of setting the scene before the rest of your story unfolds.
Flatlay & Details
I wish I could include every detail photo I've ever taken because this is genuinely one of my favorite parts of a wedding day!! The flat lays, shoes, dress, jewelry, invitations, all of it! Before your wedding day, I'll send you a list of the details I love to photograph so you can gather the pieces that are most important to you. From there, I'll style and photograph everything to create flat lays that feel personal to your day. This is another part of my storytelling approach because SO much thought goes into planning a wedding, from the invitations you picked out to the shoes you'll walk down the aisle in. I want those little decisions and details to have a place in your gallery too, because they're all part of your story.
Getting Ready
The anticipation, the nerves, the excitement!! Getting ready is when everything starts to feel real. It's a time to get all glammed up, spend the morning with your favorite people, and enjoy all the little moments leading up to the ceremony. There's so much more happening than just hair and makeup. It's the music playing, everyone laughing, the champagne being poured, and those moments when it hits you that you're actually getting married! During this time, I really just want you to be present. I'm there to document everything as it happens, with a few portraits mixed in, of course! You're about to get freaking married!! Soak it all in, enjoy every second, and leave the photos to me.
His and Hers
Before the ceremony, I love setting aside a little time for individual bridal and groom portraits because you BOTH deserve your own moment!! For the guys, picture old-money editorial vibes (always my inspiration), mixed with some classic, timeless portraits. And brides, you're literally THE moment!! The dress, the veil, the hair, the makeup, the entire look you've been dreaming about. We're showing it ALL off!
First Look
Okkkkay, I know this is a debatable one!! As a photographer, I love a first look simply because of how much it helps with the timeline of the day. We can get most of your portraits done before the ceremony, which means more time to actually enjoy cocktail hour and celebrate with your guests! BUT, as a human and a romantic, I think waiting until you're walking down the aisle to see each other for the first time is the move. There's just something so special about that moment!! Either way, I fully support your decision, and we'll plan your photography timeline around whatever you choose!
Ceremony
I will never, ever, EVER interrupt your ceremony!! My goal is to be as discreet as possible while capturing everything, from your guests' reactions to all the key moments of the ceremony. No matter what type of ceremony you're having, I will always respect the traditions and beliefs that are important to you. As a Catholic myself, photographing Catholic wedding ceremonies has been such a privilege. Having a personal understanding of the Mass and the significance of the sacrament of marriage makes documenting these ceremonies even more meaningful to me. Above all, this is YOUR moment, and I want you to be fully present for every second of it!
Your People
Your bridesmaids, groomsmen, family, YOUR PEOPLE!! These are some of the most important people in your life, and I really make this part of the day a priority. Something I pride myself on is how efficiently I can get through family photos. We'll make your family photo list together beforehand, and I'll organize it so we're not constantly calling the same people back in and out. All I ask is that you give everyone a heads-up on where they need to be after the ceremony! Of course, if there are photos you want to add on the day of, we can absolutely do that. And listen, we all have some crazy family stories, so this is where you'll really see me be on YOUR team. If there's a family member you don't want in a certain photo, I've got you. I'll handle it discreetly without making a scene. This is probably when you'll see me at my most assertive, but always in a kind and respectful way. Uncle John, we love you, but today isn't about you!!
Cocktail Hour
Cocktail hour! This is where my second photographer and I really focus on four things: Food, Setting, Fashion & People. The food being served, the space you've put so much thought into, your guests all dressed up, and everyone mingling! There's so much happening at once, and having a second photographer allows us to split up and capture all the different parts of it. You'd be surprised how much goes on during cocktail hour that you don't even get to see!
Portraits
If you're looking for a mix of timeless, classic portraits and some fun, editorial-style photos, I think we'd be a great fit! I want you to have those beautiful photos of the two of you that you'll hang on your walls for years, but I also want to have some fun and get creative! I'll guide you through poses and give you direction when needed, but I also love leaving room for those natural moments between the two of you. I want your photos to feel like YOU, and I definitely don't want you spending your entire portrait time awkwardly smiling at a camera. You just got freaking married, let's have some fun with it!
Reception Details
Oh, remember when you spent the past year and a half deciding on linen colors, napkins, florals, table settings, and literally every little detail? Yeah, you best believe we're getting GOOD photos of all of it!! Again, big detail girl over here, so trust me when I say I'm paying attention to ALL of it. You spent so much time bringing your vision to life, and I want you to have photos of every little thing you worked so hard to put together. From the entire reception space to the smallest details, nothing is going unnoticed!
PARTAYYYYYY
LET'S DANCE!! No vibe killers over here! Once the reception starts, it's time to let loose, have fun, and celebrate with all your favorite people. And if you think I'm going to be standing on the sidelines with my camera, absolutely not!! I will be on the dance floor, camera in hand.
